On your phone, in the app's own storage: the records you enter, pictures you add (they are not uploaded anywhere), the keys that protect your links to other phones (kept in the iPhone Keychain, only on that phone) and your choices. A child's private diary is locked with a code on the child's phone; no parent can read it. A backup file, if you make one, is locked with a passphrase only you know. You choose where it is saved. We cannot open it or recover a lost passphrase.
Only between phones that were linked in person (a QR code and a check phrase), always encrypted with a key that only those phones hold: from a parent to a child's phone (calendar, plan, who picks the child up, pocket money); between the two parents of one family (the children's records and the plan); and, only if you switch it on, between families (group pictures you choose to send, and ride circles). In a ride circle other families see first names of children, the rides and who drives. Home addresses and the picture of the day are sealed so only the driver of that ride and the child's parents can read them.
When two phones are not on the same network, they can find each other through a small relay server. It passes along scrambled data and cannot read it. It does not store messages, pictures or the contents of your records. As with any internet connection, it necessarily sees the network address of a connecting phone while the connection is made.
Camera and microphone: the baby monitor, calls, and pictures of art, papers and certificates. Speech recognition: voice notes and dictation, done on the phone. Photos: pictures you choose. Face ID: the child's diary. Local network: finding your own phones. Notifications: reminders you set. Nothing is switched on until you use the feature.
The app is for parents and their children. Children's data is never shared outside the family and the friends and circles the parents choose. We show no advertising and build no profiles of children.
Family 365 keeps notes and shows simple summaries. It does not diagnose, treat or replace a doctor. The baby monitor does not replace supervision.
Everything is on your devices, so you can see, change and delete it yourself in the app, and deleting the app removes it. If you write to us, we will tell you honestly what little we hold (for example, a purchase receipt through Apple, if purchases exist). You may complain to the Belgian Data Protection Authority (gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.be).
Family 365 is still in development. This policy describes how the app is designed to work and will be updated at launch. If it changes, the new version is shown here and in the app before it applies.
